Kennedy had a wonderful first Christmas and made off very well... She is very thankful for all the gifts she received and has been playing non-stop since she brought them home. Mom and Dad are also very thankful for the volume control on some of her new toys...

Finally some new photos...

Four months old and we have found our feet... Kennedy is rolling over frequently and trying very hard to break her first tooth.
Right now Kennedy's favorite things to do are smile and rollover, not necessarily in that order.
Mother's day: Mommy got her Mother's day tiara, a family tradition, and Kennedy got her magic wand that seems to get her whatever she wants, whenever she wants, wherever she is... I guess that might not be related to having the wand but on Mother's day it sure was.

Mothers day fast approaching...

On Monday Scott asked Kennedy what she was going to get her Mommy for her first Mother's Day... she didn't respond out loud but the look says it all(top). Of course she pulled it together and is now all smiles as she can't wait to give Mommy her present.

Kennedy also has begun to talk back to Mom and Dad, which hopefully is not a sign of things to come but for now very enjoyable. She also is smiling very often and throws in the occasional laugh.

We had a great time in Florida with Gamma, Papa, Blake and Taylor. Kennedy did fabulous on the plane and was a trooper at Magic Kingdom.

A quick learner...

At just over 2 weeks old Kennedy grabbed on and made claim to her bottle. A rare event for her use a bottle she had no problems when it came time to fill the tummy.

Kennedy visits Command Central

Wednesday night Kennedy made her first trip to the S.O. She was very content being held by Joel, however Joel wasn't so content holding her after a little noise and a suspicious smell started to lurk. Kennedy was handed back to Elisa who had the right stuff to calm Kennedy down. Some would say Elisa is a natural and some friendly joking put Elisa on the spot as to when she will have a little one of her own... she was quick to say it will be a couple years.

Great Grandma Hlavka

Kennedy visisted Great Grandma Hlavka on 3-2-08. Kennedy was wide awake and a little fussy when she arrived, but Grandma had the perfect touch and Kennedy settled down for some well needed rest.

One Week Old

Kennedy rests her little head as she gets her one week old pictures taken.

Kennedy strikes a pose while she sleeps peacefully in her comfortable car seat. She's not quite a fan of sleeping flat on her back and proves her comfort level here while snoozing in her carseat. The nights are getting better as she sets her schedule a little better. That also gives Mom a little more rest as Kennedy only gets up every hour and a half or so...

Kennedy also had her first doctors appointment on Monday and she checked out perfect. She is already gaining back weight and is back up to 7 lbs 6 oz.

Let the sniffing begin...

The moment of truth... and after some serious checking out Diamond and Ruby give their approval. Diamond of course assumed her normal spot on the tile by the door about 15 minutes after meeting Kennedy. Ruby eventually decided that Kennedy wasn't so bad, and as you can see she is adjusting to her new spot (not quite on the lap like it used to be... but close!)

Who would have thought that Marc would be the pro at holding the newborn. While at first he played the nervous card, it turned out that he held the winning hand and Kennedy slept in his arms for over a half an hour. He plays it cool, but I think he's pretty happy to be an uncle. (You can tell by his big smile)

Headed Home

Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Mom and Kennedy are buckled in tight for the ride home. Noone was more happy than Bri to hit the road. Kennedy slept the whole way home. Remember when Scott said he'd never be the guy driving with his wife and child in the backseat... Yeah he turned into "That Guy!"

Pink of Course!

Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. and Kennedy is dressed to impress. In her stylish pink jumpsuit she smiles to world, obviously ready to go home and meet Diamond and Ruby.
